REPORTS TO: AME TEAM LEADER AND LOGISTICS, COSTS AND CONTRACTS MANAGER
DIVISION: TECHNICAL SUPPORT – FLEET SUPPORT
LOCATION: SA AIRLINK HANGAR, KMIA AIRPORT, NELSPRUIT
Execute cleaning of Airlink’s aircraft and hangar facility in accordance with the applicable aircraft maintenance manuals and cleaning procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
2.1 The minimum education requirement is a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent N4.
2.2 Must be willing to work on a shift basis, if required.
2.3 Ability to understand the cleaning and aviation environment.
2.4 Must be able to communicate in English.
2.5 Must be able to read and understand instructions.
2.6 Able to work under pressure.
2.7 Must be able to work without supervision.
2.8 Problem solving abilities.
2.9 Must be able to apply logic.
2.10 Previous aircraft ground handling will be an advantage.
2.11 Driver’s license with a Code 10 will be advantageous.
2.12 Will attend training as and when required to do so.
3.1 Maintaining exemplary cleaning of Airlink’s aircraft and facilities.
3.2 Ensuring on-time performance is adhered to as per operational roster or as required by Airlink.
3.3 Ensuring correct wear and care of the company uniform and equipment.
3.4 The employee shall be accountable for ensuring operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and standards of the Operator and within the confines of the AOC and relevant operational specifications.
3.5 Responsible for the OHS in their area of responsibility and accountability reporting into this role.
3.6 Accountable for the management of safety risks and security threats to aircraft operations.
4.1 To clean Airlink’s fleet of aircraft positioned at Nelspruit (MQP) and hangar facility as per required standards and scheduled roster.
4.2 Complete all required paperwork and administration on a daily basis.
4.3 Ensure excellent housekeeping.
4.4 Ensure request for consumables are made in time and as per procedure.
4.5 Ensure that all equipment drawn is returned on a daily basis.
4.6 Report all damaged equipment immediately.
4.7 Liaise with MQP duty engineer to ensure that daily tasks are identified and carried out accordingly.
4.8 Collect all waste streams and dispose according to company procedures.
4.9 May be required to perform gardening service duties which include but are not limited to:
a) Trimming all lawn and flower bed edges
b) Clean walkways, driveways, Apron areas and parking areas
c) Weed control
d) Emptying of facility refuse/waste bins and/or trolleys
4.10 Obeying the instructions given by the company supervisor and manager.
4.11 Acting and working in line with the company mission.
4.12 Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Company Standards as laid out in the manuals of procedure, and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
4.13 Will assist with any additional tasks within the context of the job description.
